Snow Monkey Goes Back to School

Snow Monkey Superfood Ice Treat, in 16 oz. Cacao and Goji Berry flavors, is now available in all seven Aztec Markets throughout San Diego State University. “We couldn’t be more excited,” shares Mariana Ferreira, co-founder of Snow Monkey. “We’re so proud to have SDSU as our first campus to carry Snow Monkey. It’s an important step toward our goal of making Snow Monkey available on university campuses across the U.S.”

“Juggling school, athletics, work and having a life often means something has to give,” Rachel Geicke, co-founder points out. “We want to help students make healthier choices every day without sacrificing convenience or nutrition. Sure, we want to be on the shelves at your local Whole Foods Market and stocked in your home freezer, but we know that convenience is key. Being available in offices, gyms and at schools will make it easier for customers to benefit from Snow Monkey’s antioxidants, fiber and protein at any point in the day.


Snow Monkey was born at college. Geicke and Ferreira met at Boston University, where they often experimented with their own recipes that were healthier than anything they could find at the store. “We live in an age of convenience with an explosion of new products, however, when you look closely at the nutrition content, most options come up short,” explains Geicke. “University students, in particular, are looking for options that are easy to grab and go, but they don’t want to sacrifice taste or health.”


With 20 grams of protein per pint, Snow Monkey’s all-natural Superfood Ice Treat is made from only fruits, seeds and superfoods, and it is free from all major allergens like dairy, soy and gluten.
